Inclement Weather

POLICY STATEMENT

It is Westside Market’s intention that our stores will be open during all normal work times. Each employee must be the judge as to whether conditions in his/her area are safe enough for driving to work in severe weather conditions.  If you are unable to come to work, please notify your supervisor at least 30 mins prior to the start of your shift. In the event the store will not open due to inclement weather, your supervisor will communicate to you by text.

If inclement weather is expected, the Store Manager will notify the Director of Operations at least 24 hours prior to the weather event so we can make a determination as to what steps to take.  If the store is open and conditions are expected to deteriorate, the Store Manager will research local news and the department of transportation for travel advisories.  We must document our decisions to close or close early for our members as they are paying us to be open and sell their products.
