EMPLOYEE eLEARNING ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND AGREEMENT

Policy: Employee eLearning Acknowledgment Requirement

To ensure that all employees are informed of and understand the company’s policies, procedures, and workplace expectations, Westside Market requires every employee to complete and sign an eLearning Acknowledgment Form upon completing the assigned training.

Purpose:

The acknowledgment form serves as a formal record that the employee:

  • Has received and/or completed the required eLearning material

  • Understands the company’s rules, standards of conduct, and responsibilities

  • Agrees to comply with all policies outlined in the eLearning content

  • Acknowledges that employment is at-will, unless otherwise stated in a written agreement

Importance:

This process is essential for the following reasons:

  1. Legal Protection – A signed acknowledgment helps protect the company and the employee by documenting that policies have been communicated and received.

  2. Accountability – It holds employees accountable for adhering to company policies and confirms their awareness of behavior and performance expectations.

  3. Consistency – It promotes consistent communication and policy enforcement across the organization.

  4. Risk Management – It reduces the risk of claims related to misunderstanding or lack of knowledge about workplace rules, safety procedures, or compliance standards.

Enforcement:

Employees who fail to complete the eLearning or refuse to sign the acknowledgment may be subject to corrective action, up to and including suspension or termination of employment, depending on the circumstances.
